Ok, so i reinstalled the entire game, and i saved it in the defult folder which just happend to be inside my mods folder. I then copied all the shared.sd and strategy.sd for my Medival 2 data/ ui folder to my SV data/ ui folder. I then started the game, except this time their was an unspecified error, and it shut down before it even reached the main menu, here is a picture showing my ui folder.

Weird issue with EE minor city siege: ladders/towers too high, see SV_Walls.jpg.

Problem seems to be that minor city & castle share the same wall level (2), but castle walls are taller - so if you fix minor-city ladders/towers height in "descr_walls.txt", then they get too short for the castle !

The 2nd picture (150men.jpg) shows 150 poor militiamen horribly compressed in a tower, just one sec before the game crashed with the usual "unspecified error" message. IMO the speed at which troopers climb ladders must be lowered - it will also help balance siege battles.

This is strange, you shouldn't be able to upgrade it until you build the other prerequisites....

Is this in all castle settlements?

The vanilla sd files should go here:

    E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\ui

The mod will not work if you copy them into the mods\SicilianVespers\data\ui folder. These contain mod specific content.

Thanks, I will try to get this in the next HotFix. Hopefully I will have time this weekend.

I put them in both my E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\ui folder and my mods\SicilianVespers\data\ui folder. should I delete the ones from my sicilian vespers/data/ui folder?

    Well,
judging by the responses of few people other than myself it appears that there definitely is a some kind of bug in regards to castle settlements or at the very least some form of conflict is happening .
Perhaps it is on our own end, although I find it ulnlikely.I personaly havent deleted any files or fidlled with them either and have followed the instructions in regards to instalation.

SV hasn't noticed any of these irks on his end which is making me really curious what this might be.
I have decided not to do anything rash in terms of re-installing or deleting or whatever not, until we all learn more about this issue.

Bloody markets! They are giving me grief even in my games.

There are two sets of SD files located here:

    E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\ui

    shared.sd
    strategy.sd

    - These are the vanilla sd files that all mods use. (They need to exist)

    E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SicilianVespers\data\ui

    battle.sd
    battle.sd.xml
    shared.sd
    strategy.sd

    - These are the SV specific sd files. (Do not copy the vanilla files over these, or the mod will not work)

If you install correctly, everything should go where it needs to.

I checked the city vs castle market lines, and they should not cross.

I can't reproduce this, so if someone can attach a saved game, I would appreciate it.

One thing I should point out. There are some settlements that start with a castle-town from the beginning of the campaigns. In these settlements, once you build the grain exchange, the market will immediately become available....since the prerequisites are already fulfilled.

I did this with where a faction has a castle settlement as their capital.

    battle.sd.xml

    strategy.sd

and in the back up UI file there is D:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War - kopie\mods\SicilianVespers\data\ui\backup UI

I'm sorry if I have asked this before, but please bear with me:

When it prompts you to install Chivalry II and it lists the directory do you change the file path?

If you do, you must keep the same file path for every later installion and you must install the subsequent files directly into the medeival II folder.

If you specify the folder to be installed to beyond Medieval II Folder, it will not work properly.

I'm sure you have installed and deleted plenty still but as long as you have the programs still downloaded, let's give some more effort and see if we can't get ya playing.

I see what you mean by this. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to happen on my own when starting a new campaign.

SV is still working on it.

I have the bug with your saved game, however I cannot reproduce it on Dark age with Portugal (Navarre) when starting a whole new campaign.

I'm not sure what's up, it's something SV will have to look into more.

    Default errata corrige

just now that my "ladies" are 40+ i've just had three children,
    but still it's odd
and game/advisor/dunno didn't tell me anything about this most long awaited for events...

    ps
however i had my old king wo inspired rbellion into generals' hearts
so one guy started gettinf veeeeery disloyal and had to move him out of the town, it turned out he was the heir to the throne, so when king died -long live to the king- he became king, but for a couple of turns he kept being disloyal to himself...

I finally got a chance to look at this, and I see the multiple buildings.

While testing your save, I destroyed the markets in Pamplona and Toledo. They reappeared in the buildings tab as normal, without double entries.

Now, if you try this...destroying the markets in these two settlements, does everything return to normal, or do you have double entries?

Also, did you mod the files? removing the city constraint from the main markets?

There are two separate market lines, one for city and on for castle. If you modded the files, it the city line could be appearing in the building tab for castles?
