Patch Problem PLEASE HELP ME

Hello heres the problem, today i got the the new kingdoms game but the problem is that to instsaill it i need patch 1.3 in Total War 2 i have 1.1 and as you know there is no way to instaill patch 1.3 if you have patch 1.1, i cant unisastalll Total war 2 because it says that version 1.1 is active and it needs to be unisntaled so i need to know how to uninstall patch 1.1 and can i just go to 1.3 after i do that or do i need 1.2 then 1.3 thanks.

You need to install patch 1.2 and then 1.3

go to your control panel -> add or remove programs -> remove MTW II patch 1.1

I would just download 1.2 and install that, then install 1.3. That should work, worked with Rome anyway.

once you have 1.1 you cant get 1.2 or 3 you need to take awyae 1.1 first lol thanks

How do you uninstale patch 1.1 what file are patches stored in

press start -> control panel -> add or remove programs -> Medieval 2 total war patch 1.1 (push change/remove)

Patch 1.2 and 1.3 are on the kingdoms disk. The safest thing to do is doing a fresh install of M2TW, apply patch 1.2 from the disk and then update to 1.3. Don't use patch 1.1 because that will cause problems.

Yeah, best bet is just to completely get rid of it, although you should be able to find patch 1.1 and delete it.. I believe..

I have been trying to be patch and re-patch this lazy product for the last 3 mouths, I had MTW2 and I wanted Kingdoms but to get kingdoms you need patch 1.3 but since Sega in all its wisdom made it almost impossible to get a patch that an ordinary person could find and a patch that the game would not regect, i have been at it for hours apon hours to play Total War kingdoms it is horrible that they can put out a product this DIGUSTINGLY poor (techinicaly not Enjoyment) that i feel that i will never agian buy a Sega game, Creative Assembly Game and of course not a Total War game, I employ any person not to buy this game not just becuase I am Furustrated at the moment, but becuase I wish no one the to see the brutal "crappyness" of this product,

That's not part of M2TW:Kingdom's system requirements. Vanilla M2TW does not need to be patched to v1.3, since the patch comes with Kingdoms.

Quite possible that it's your computer. I wouldn't press blame if I were you. Working in tech support, I've found 99% of the time, it's a user error.

And between you and me, even if it isn't an end user problem, we'll still convince you it's the end user's error.

Seeing as you're the only one of the only people to bring up this issue, chances are most other users find the game to be satisfying. Don't put it down just because you are having technical difficulties

my kingdoms wont go from vannila too 1.3 it says there is no last update im so sick of this freaking creapp butt Game i HATE IT! Your probably installing the patches incorrectly. I suggest to uninstall Kingdoms then M2TW before starting over

Install M2TW
them Kingdoms
then patch 1.5

exactly in that order.

gowski, he's hardly the only one having this problem. The patching process is at best confusing and made even more difficult b/c of the lack of any customer service or tech support.
