In the meantime, I've been trying to set up my own battles with the battle editor, but I haven't gotten it figured out how it works yet. There's also a "map" of troy floating around on the internet somewhere but I dunno if its any good...

i have done and now whne i try to play any of the toher rome total wars they shut down after the intro videos

i uninstalled everything and then decided to start again but now it wont let me install rome total war gold again, it says their is an earlier version of rome total war still on the system but i have made sure their is no rome total war anywhere on the computer, sorry if thats abit different from the other problem but do you know how to fix that? please

Once downloaded right click the exe and go to the compatibility tab, tick run as administrator there (assuming you have vista).

Make sure installed it correctly and make sure barbarian invasion is patched up to 1.6

Yes, that indicates a problem with the version of your RTW-BI. Please make sure you have installed the BI 1.6 patch by trying to install that patch.

Hi This mod will not work for me. I can get it installed and open it up but after I get to the first screen a pop up pops up and says Generic Error: Could not find aerial map "Settlement Roman_level_1" in the data base. What do I do ?

It did the same thing to me (when I run the game, it just starts vanilla). How do you run something as administrator on windows 7?

It is a very enjoyable mod. I like the units and the fact that generals have elite troops that make a big difference in the battle (even though the generals are extremely hard to kill-that's annoying). I also like that cavalry is scarce, as it should be for that time period. I don't like the fact that the Dorians's generals go into bersek rage, I lost a lot of them like that. And speaking of bersekers, those mercenaries that go bersek are a bad idea! You can't simply sell bersekers on the street. That unit is very strong and it may help you easely win a battle, either lose a battle you thought even the AI can win. Anyways, it is a great idea and I love it. I am very unpatient in waiting for Aristeia. Nice work!

i downloaded and installed TTM, but now when i click on the shortcut , it says: The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. What can i do?
