Default Higher income from sacking for specified factions/characters

So basically I've tried to mod into a couple of other mods a trait that only characters of a certain faction can recieve. The trait is supposed to make it so that these characters make 2x what everyone else does when they sack a city. The problem I am having is this: the "looting" feature either seems to be broken or to have a limit of only giving up to an extra 30%.

Is there anyone who can verify either of the above?

    Thanks in advance.

It's possible that the maximum is +/- 30%. 25% would make more sense, but then we're talking about CA here, they leave junk code lying around all over the place .

Have you tested a campaign and sacking a settlement, and writing down the amount available, then reverting to the save, adding the trait and giving a 10% bonus, sacking it in the same time, and seeing if the number changed by a similar percent. Then doing that for 20, 30, etc. If it works but only to a point, then 30 is the maximum(or 25). If it doesn't seem to be working at all or the difference isn't equivalent to the percentile, it might be a broken VnV left over from usage in BI, where the armies had the option to either settle in the settlement or raid it. So in that instance it might only work with a horde setup.

It works in Medevial II since there are ancilaries (like mercenary captain or something) that increase loot from sacking by 10%. Perhaps 30% is the maximum which is a dumb maximum.

From further testing it does indeed look like 30% is the maximum. Off hand does anyone know if having mutiple traits that add 30% stack up or if it will just stay as 30% ?

I am going to test that tonight, I'll put my results here for future reference.

Not off hand no, it could be tested. Command related traits seem to cap at 5 for a specific trait, at least in the vanilla, but can go up to 10. If this is an actual accepted practice where there's a single trait cap and a stat cap disambiguated from one another then that's pretty stupid coding, as what use is there to confine individual traits, but again, wouldn't doubt it's the case.

Some are 5, some seem to be 6. 30% would be 6 at 5% per level. LineOfSight is capped at 5, I did a lot of testing with that one.

I never tried stacking two traits with the same attributes and seeign what happened though.

Well Command obviously goes up to 10, so stacking has to work, but it might be dependent on a certain overall maximum, such as 100 for percentiles and 10 for non-percentiles, would be my guess.

You can give 10 command on a single trait though. I actually think that one goes higher but will only show 10 stars in game.

The problem is it's ing ridiculous trying to figure out if traits such as this one have had any impact or not, so it can't really be tested beyond 10. I had the same sentiment while writing notes to myself on descr_character_traits, because obviously the game has to take count of all the "extra" bonuses, so there's a soft limit and a hard limit for that as well, it probably would log command bonuses unto infinity, but only apply them up to a certain number.

Hopefully in E:TW they have more Console Commands, and have ones that can let you check the level of a stat being applied to a character. For that matter they don't even go insofar as to describe them very well, in real terms, have to go on whatever allusions to their nature that can be drawn from their Effects Desc in the vanilla files.

    [/grumble]

You can use the Attribute condition to check.

    if Attribute Command > 10...

That will tell you if it will assign more than 10, but with command its hard to tell if it actually applies.

Well yeah, I more meant the "if it actually applies" part. Would be nice if CA released information like that with the DocuDemons, they have to know the answers to it .
