Default Clandestine movement for solitary Generals?

Is it possible , to make a solitary General unit more difficult to spot on the Camp map? I mean a lone General and his Bodyguard should enjoy the ability to travel with a smaller risk of molestation than several conventional units bunched together, right? Much of the problem is, as it stands now, they are so vulnerable from attack , particularly the AI Generals, when you spot them that they get annihilated (as you ride out several Companies of cavalry to engage the General) and I think this is a fundamental reason why the CAI is not playing out sensibly in the long term? So is it possible to lower the detection profile of the General unit, to make it more difficult for the player to detect them?

Sounds like a fundamental (aka Hardcoded) difference between agents and generals. Agents can't be seen unless detected, generals can always be seen if not under the FOW or in an ambush area, so I guess you'd have to find the property that makes them invisible, which I doubt is just in a text file.

I could easily be wrong though, I'm a 2nd year CIT major so I still don't know nothin'.

    BLASPHEMER...

Intriguing notion/concept...:hmmm:I'll let the experts speak as to practicality & application.(Cuz I'm dumb as a stump abouts computers)

But as a human player it seems the immediate solutuion to that problem would to automacticaly give AI FM's/Generals safe passage. As a courtesy to not shoot fish in a barrel. However bare in mind the AI has NEVER extended such a courtesy to me..
Let me put it another way, it's already well within Your means to play with restraint and give the AI a chance

    +Rep for creative thinking.

Mega, I usually go with your theory. I let them slide if the balance of forces is way off. Although, I receive no such luxury from the AI. So, I don't let my generals mosey off without a proper retinue.

I think much of this extends from the fact that a General unit, in strategic AI programming would have to be a pivotal asset unit for the long term. Is that what you meant OP?
