    Icon9 Installation Problem

    Hi guys.

Yesterday I bought myself a new laptop, the HP pavillion dv9700.
When trying to install Medieval II this morning, on the first disk the installation spent at least half an hour trying to install the file "packs\date_2.pack"

It then gave me the message:
    Feature transfer error
    Componant: packs
    File: E:\main\packs\date_2.pack
Error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O
    device error.

    My laptop's specs are:
Model: HP pavilion dv9700 notebook pc
Processor: AMD tuironn 64x2 mobile technology TL - 60 2.00GHz
    RAM: 3.00GB
    System type: 32-bit operating system.
Graphics card: nVidia Geforce 7150M with shared memory.

I tried installing twice, with the same result. I restarted between each attempt as well...

The game worked fine on my old desktop which was supposedly not as powerful as this laptop. I know laptops aren't usually good with games but I would have thought it would at least install?

    Any help appeciated...

Did you check your disc to make sure it isn't dirty or scratched? Can you still read it on your desktop?

I take it IO errors are disk related then LoL, that explains that one.
