Downloading Retrofit Mod

My friend wanted to install the latest edition to the medieval 2 mods you guys post around here and he accidently deleted the 'mods' document meaning i couldnt play retrofit mod at all. i was angry but got over it fast because i didnt have many good saves i am installing the grand addon_unit_mod to try and reclaim what i lost but could someone please talk me through the steps because the first time it was installed my dad did it for me and he is not around to do it again
