why the timurids are so annoying ?!??!

Today while i was playing the vanilla version of the game i played the turks and i awaited the timurids near Baghdad with 6 full stack legions. When they invaded i destroyed them and the event announcing 'Faction Destroyed' popped up, but the very next turn the Timurids invaded once again near Baghdad with 4 full stack legions-even great than the first ones and now after my armies are almost destroyed after the conflict with the first horde of Timurids my save game is doomed... so can you tell me how to remove the timurids as spawned faction, because it seems they will ruin everything that lives in the middle east..

i think the timurids are so hard because if you think of it other factions arent that strong only if they have more then 1 person attacking you like a crusades (so they wanted it to be harder)

P.s the tumrids are suppose to have so much beacause they are suppose to take over some actually city's they werrent made to be destroyed in 1 turn

the timurids were more of a threat than the mongols ever were, the only thing that saved the "west" was Timur's death and the subsequent disintegration of his empire

more on the subject though... the timurids, much like the mongols, spawn in roughly 3 waves of 3-4 armies each for a total of about 12 stacks, with the first stacks being the least dangerous/experienced ones

having said that, your saved game is far from doomes, and i'm sure you can replace your armies and defeat the timurids through a war of attrition and by carefully selecting the battles you fight (bridge battles, narrow crossings with you on the mountains etc)

the other stupid thing is their overrating on automaticly resolved battles-these dumb elephants are not that strong on personal battles..

Ok, thanks i will try something like that- the bridge battles are quite useful

The whole damn thing is that will be very difficult to get some armies, but i will do my best, wish me luck

i just looked up the timurid history when i saw a youtube video of aztecs vs timurids, aztecs won by shear numbers of men/arrows/javalens.

Well, i was like the same way at first when i was wondering whether to play the turks or not, but the mongols weren't big threat-i managed to make them my vassals when their only province was Kiev.The damn thing is that the eastern factions are totally gang-banged from timurids and mongols, especially the mongols, because there's not much time to get ready for them-of course it's not 100% sure that they will establish their empire in the middle east,but..

+rep for this. I've never seen Timurids to have empire this big. No wonder that they covered the whole map. One question though, what mod you are playing?? Is it vanilla or one of the mods??

It's vanilla, or one of the mods with the vanilla regions. Not enough regions to be stainless steel, not to mention the fact that it has the Americas and Timurids in the first place.
