What was the most Ultimate And Epic Thing that has happend to you in either Campaign Map or in Battle

My City was surrounded by an army who's general was a faction leader had very great traits and retinue, what's odd is that since that if you sally forth the enemy won't attack you, however this time he attacked first, I had a Basilisk with me and protecting it with Spearmen, as the Leader was charging the Basilisk, the Basilisk gave one shot, One shot and it hit directely to the Leader and killed him, all of a sudden some his horsemen routed and pretty used all of my units to kill the rest.

I think it was conquering a citadel with my army outnumbered 3:1.

Heroic or clear victory, can't remember, with my 10 star Emperor Frederich the Something against 3 to 1. It's crazy how much good generals change the statistics, I'd had a Crushing Defeat in that situation with a bad general. With my emperor I won every 50/50 battle losing 5-10% of my men at most.

Oh and, flanking william wallace in the beginning of a battle with an army of 2500 men infront of him that just ignored it =D

Playing Vanilla MTW2 as England, the pope calling a crusade on Tolouse which I quickly took with my faction leader (bearing in mind this was the only continental european settlement I had then). Then getting excommunicated for fighting the French. Then after my assassin got killed trying to kill the pope, he called a crusade against me at Tolouse.

My 1 stack fended off:
1x full stack of HRE
1x Full stack of Danish
1X Full stack of Spanish....

.....then fell at the hands of Milan and Venice

Was epic in the fact I fought defensive battles for what seemed like forever, and all my troops has many chevrons on their cards by the time of death. Twas a damn fine general that died as well.

I got stuck with no troops by my Faction leader and faction heir in the Aztec empire... I was going to recruit mercs, but things got messedd up at home so i had no money... basically I used 1 ship to transport them, cause i had not enough money to build more, so it got killed by pirates and crippled by a storm previously...

Hell of an adventure in the Jungles...

for me my most epic battle was that i used all rocket launchers
(the ones that shoot multi canons) i fires had to be 300 missiles i was attacking a armie of about 900 men i the first and only guy in his armie that died was the king himself! 1 more round of shots and his armie was in full retreat

i had 1100 somthing men, a little rebel brigan army had 100 or somthing, they ambushed me and i detected it, so i had all but a little sliver of blue for chances, i figured, easy auto-resolve, and i lost a crushing defeat, they lost 2 men i lost 890 somthing..... i reloaded to say the least

Not so much epic but it was a fun battle anyways.

Me as Spain V's England at the battle for Caen. It was one of those fun battles where you are outnumbered by about 400men and they hold the citadel. However was good fun. Never keep your troops in the walls when your enemy has cannons, gotta love that computer AI



Oh and the pope didnt think it was as fun as I obviously did , but what do you expect with traits like that (he wears dresses....tee-hee)

My princess "stole" Byzantine general, who ended up alone, surrounded by angry Byzantine armies. They attacked him... he retreats... they attack him again...
He cannot run, so he is forced to fight thousand-something men army.
I dance around them, picking their units one by one. Eventually I'm surrounded.
My prince and his bodyguard fight to the last man, the "last man" is the General himself, he routs and manages to get away!
The end result of the fight was me, losing 8 bodyguards, Byzantines losing around 400-500 troops.
Here's the kicker: this die-hard general goes on to destroy Byzantium and become my greatest commander, then, without my involvement, becomes my Faction leader! That Roman stud...

Getting into a massive battle bridge battle between English and HRE. HRE had Byzantine reinforcements and I had Milanese AI reinforcements. The bridges were just packed so the ballistas were vetting up like mad, taking out maybe 20-50 men with one shot. So many different flags and banners, very cool.

One time I had a battle with, 1x full stack French Army, against 2x Full Stacks of English Army at the Bridge Outside London! It was a massacre, with my army surviving with about 200 (from 1600). The Bridge was full of corpses... After a turn I taked England with almost no resistance...

Actually, this was Kingdoms (but Kingdoms are M2TW too, am I right?) and wasn't so epic, but it was impressive when my full egyptian stack fought ful jerusalem stack. The impressive thing was the fact, that my Guards (or how it is called, the warriors that are in commander/heir/king's squad) and enemy guard died....almost. That was epic to see Salah-ad-Din fighting Richard Lionheart one-to-one.

i ambushed some novgorods near their capital they had like 1500 + faction leader i had 500 a general and mostly ritterbruders (dism and mounted) they had some catapults shooting at me and suddenly the enemy general became roosted by the catapults and he was just in front of them

Im not great at Medieval II but I was proud when I battled scotland in a 2000Vs2100 battle with the Scots for aberdeen. It was my King against his king and I was laying siege. One turn before surrender we had the battle and he immediately sent out his whole army and aswe fought it looked like He was edging the battle. As he tore through my front line i decided to retreat my king, he sent his king after me and i turned around. my king completely took out the Scottish king and I smiled as I watched there army retreat!!

Heres another one: I was playing as Byzantium and when Timur came he conquered the Turks and all of there territory which was all of Turkey, what sucked was that Timur and his big @$$ arsenal of Elephants both Muskets and Artillery including Spearmean and Lancers were knocking on my door heading towards Constatinople (They conquered Nicae and Smyrna also). I recruited any available unit that could be useful for the battle and using my Faction leader, heir, and and much of my generals as the horsemen.

I can't remember the nit size but it was about 2000 each side, I knew that the elephants would obliterate my men if they didn't move so used my cannons to strike however they didn't make the elephants go crazy, I then used my Horse archers to distract some of the elephants and they bought and went after them, I used my cannons to strike which made the elephants go crazy, Timur who was the Leader, commanded all of his units to striker, I managed to get my Horsemen back and ambush some of the horses, I also used all of my units to fight and it was bloody, then some of the elephants who went crazy started to come back and run over both side's men, then somehow one of them ran over Timur (), sending his men to doom which caused them to retreat, I won but my body count was huge. Sadly my Faction Leader and 2 Generals died but my Heir survived and became king

I killed the Pope.

It was Vanilla, and I got Excommunicated by attacking Denmark and Venice. Next thing I know, the Pope with his army of Pavise Crossbowmen, 1 family member and some Italian Spear Militia attack Bologna, which I defend with Town Spearmen, Peasants, and some Archers/Sergeant Spearmen reinforcements.

I took the Pope captive in battle, and ran his army out of town with extremely heavy losses.

When the popup asked me if I wanted to Ransom the prisoners, including His Holiness, I pressed "Execute."

When I played Rome total war, I was attacking this town and despite being heavily outnumbered they turn and ran when my siege equipment barbequed several dozen to one hundred of them. lol
