    Default Lithuania in SS6.1

Sorry if its been posted before, I tried a search but couldnt find anything related.

Ive just started a game as Lithuania, early period, long campaign.

One of the objectives as well as take the 70 provinces is to eliminate the Teutonic order, but they are not in the early period.

Do they count as already eliminated? Or do they spawn up later, maybe in the same style as the first medieval game when kingdoms you had eliminated re-spawned later when they had a surviving son?

Also when the objective is eliminate them, do I have to be the last faction to wipe them out, or can I just outlive them?

I always like to have set goals in a campaign and then strive towards them over the course of a campaign like when I went Byzantium I strove towards Rome and Jerusalem and took some other regions to complete it. It would be good to have something to aim for as Lithuania.

Cheers in advance for any helpful responses.

Actually, i'm pretty sure this parameter is impossible to meet.

The Teutonic Order do appear in the Baltic (just a bit after 1200, forget the exact date). But, because the Order has no family tree and it hordes, it can never be completely destroyed. I've heard destroying every single Teutonic unit / agent works, but I did that in an Aragon campaign and they still lived (for definite, as they hadn't captured a place to put any agents, just their two armies). If you desperatly want a win message, you'll need to edit that out.

It's definetly not that late. I'd won the (Aragon) campaign around that date and killed the Teutons ages ago.

    Thanks for the info.

So they spawn up sometime in the 1200's (dont say where as it would spoil it, its better to just react to where they pop up) and I might have a look in the descr_strat or on some other forum page to find a way to edit it so I get a proper campaign finish.

Hoping for a bit of a challenge with these.

If you want to edit out that line, find the descr_win_conditions file. It's in the same folder that descr_strat is. Simply scroll down to Lithuania to find this:

    lithuania
    hold_regions Kiev_Province Riga_Province Roman_Province
    take_regions 70
    outlive teutonic_order
    short_campaign hold_regions Kiev_Province
    take_regions 25
    outlive teutonic_order

Simply edit those "outlive teutonic_order" lines out and it should work fine.

Just wondering, is it possible for Lithuania to convert to Christianity in this mod? Or is it consigned to being a great target for crusades? Also, if it can become catholic, can it eventually join crusades?

Yeah. It would be nice but also it would take too many unit slots... You'd need a whole new roster after conversion and lots of new buildings... Not to mention that strategically converting would be a bad idea since Pagan roster is so awesome...
