    Default Invisible Walls?

I'm playing as Venice, and am holding Adrianople from the Romans. However, when the battle starts the enemy drops everything, runs straight through my castle walls, and attacks. I have quit and reloaded, and the same thing happened again.

As for sub-mods I'm using... Text overhaul, the crown mod, Crimson Tide, YY Visual improvement mod, and the "Burning Man" mod.

    Any ideas what's going on?

Edit: I used some forces to drive off the enemy, but found my castle under siege again. These soldiers did the exact same thing: drop all their equipment and ran straight through my castle walls. My soldiers can also walk through my walls, and I can also still have crossbow men stationed on top of them.

It has happened to me too, playing the venice campaign. For some reason it only happened once and at a later beseigement the walls appeared to be solid once again.

Did the enemies bring catapults or some kind of artillery? In my case they didn't actually drop their seige equipment until the catapults had roughed up my walls a little. Round 20% damage to my walls and then they dropped anything they had and ran like lunatics straight through the walls. Once defeated I tried to run after them but I had to go through the gates.

They didn't have catapults in my siege, they just dropped ladders, siege rams, etc. I tried the same siege a few times, same results. I did a quick test and found out that while my crossbowmen could stand on the walls, my men could also walk straight through them. In frustration, I used the garrison at Constantinople to drive them off.

Later the Romans sieged again, same results. I got angry, cheated to up the population and upgrade the castle, haven't had any problems since

    weird indeed.

have people tried installing wolfslayer's byzantine battlefield settlement mod here:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ne+settlements

(I don't have it installed so can't comment on it, so have no idea if it'll solve your problems?)

Seen it start happening quite often as well. Been using the wolfslayer's byzantine battlefield settlement mod , still happens. Seen it in Rhodes and Adrianoble so far.

Anyone has any idea why is this happening, seem to be affecting castles only on me.

    *edit*

Never mind, reinstalling all over and not using wolfslayer's byzantine battlefield settlement mod seems to have fixed this.

Shame though, I loved the way settlements/castles looked.

yeah im getting this too... not using wolfslayers mod...
dont know what it is, but it actually happened in mid-battle once... my dismounted ritterbruder were moving up on a wall to fight some defenders and all of a sudden the ones that werent on the wall just fell down and seemingly died... instantly... and after that all units could march through walls and they werent listed as casualties after the battle and the unit was back to full (well almost, the casualties they did recieve in battle were still there) strenght without a sign of them ever being wounded (ie. no "healed" members after the battle)
and now the walls are completely passable again each time... ill try repairing them tho because they were damaged (i blew a hole in the walls with my catapults when assaulting) and ill see if that changes anything...
addicted modder... but crap at it

I had the contrary problem once or twice- the walls continue to exist but invisible. Soldiers could be seen walking on air. Siege equipment could move up to the invisible wall and assault it. But they couldn't move through it.

Are people having issues with particular walls or just walls in general? It seems that byzantine walls are the main problem. For those still having this problem it may help to describe what kind of walls this happened to, for example Byzantine castle walls/ large stone walls etc.

    another question :

are people using unpacked or packed m2tw /kingdoms?

The walls byzantines use are from vanilla so it may be that the prog isn't findinding them?

That's possible, copying the settlements\middle_eastern folder over from vanilla to SS6 might help.

I remember testing all the settlements I converted on the battlemap and they all worked fine before I uploaded; I'll check them out again over the next few days and see if I spot any anomalies..

Happened to me just now, when never it has before. Defending as Byzantines, on castle walls at Nicosia. Curious thing is the strat model is an islamic castle. The Egyptians took it when I had it as a wooden castle, I took it back and upgraded to castle walls about a year before they sieged me. Going to try it again and hopefully there should be no problem...

edit: but of course, there was. Just installed Wolfslayer's awesome Byz castles to see if that would make a difference, but no... :-\

How did you install Wolfslayer's mod, did you already have a download of it? The download link is down.

Errr, just try it again; it worked when I d/led it.

Managed to circumvent the issue by auto_winning game, then the next time the Egyptians besieged, the walls worked again...
