Hello all,

I'm quite intrigued about Cognition and Perception.

Duality, to me, is true and is not true also!
Below are my thoughts regarding:

In the West, we are quite dualistically polarized.

Interestingly enough, in Eastern cultures, they are not polarized in the same way we are:
Ex. Buddhists teach "Emptiness" which has a Positive and Negative connotative meaning:
First the positive: Clearness, Radiance, Openess, Omniscience
Next the negativa: No "self", No inherently existing phaenomena

It seems as though we Westerners are polarized regarding materialism and Eastern peoples have a "nested" polarization within their religious framework, in sense.

How does someone overcome this tendency of "self reflexiveness" which, when warped, IS the problem to understanding the wholeness within Duality?

Comments?
