    Default Problems with BI

ive already previously installed BI (barbarian invasion) i uninstalled it a while bk however as i didnt go on it much and it was taking up alot of space...but now i find i need to re install it so i can play many of the great mods out there...after installing it a message came up saying something like mss32.dll componant missing, re install may fix problem...well i repaired it and it re processed the info, the same thing happened again!, i copied the mss32.dll from rome to bi, then once i thought tht had fixed it said '3d sound unavailable' or something like tht! confused, it was fine the first time, though i hav installed EB mod since...would that make any difference, on a different site someone said something about over writing cracks, but i really dont no what a crack is (well other than the drug...)
any help? glad 4 help! u better help

A crack is a means to play the game without buying it. We (quite rightly) are aren't allowed to discuss them on the forum. So, that's the end of that!

Although I doubt that an install of EB would make a mess of the mss32.dll file (which is to do with the miles sound system that is used by the game) I guess it could do somehow. There appear to be a number of problems with this file lately.

There are various sites where you can download the file.

If that doesn't work then it may be best to completely remove the RTW game from your PC and start again.

hmmm, i copied the rome mss23.dll to the bi directory though and tht didnt come up but instead '3d sound/audio unavailble' or something like that, cant i just play it without sound? the rest of it installed ok...i think... i relly didnt want to hav 2 re install everything as i figure if normal rome run ok, then re stalling it is an unessessary chore tht probably wont work, might hav 2 try though, thanks 4 help

I will have a check to see how many mss23.dlls I have on my install in a couple of hours.

I would have thought that there would only be one on the machine (I may be wrong).

OK, no problems. There appears to be a mss32.dll in each game folder.
