    Default Corruption D:

Okey doke, so in my Venice campaign (SS6.1) m/h going quite nicely. Within the last 5 turns I got rid of the Byzzies and have settled in, am just getting underway an attack on France as they are excommed. Anywho, the last 10 turns my finances have gone to pot, despite having disbanded most units used to crush the Byzantines. And here's why:

I mean, 13k?! How on earth has that happened?? Can anyone explain the corruption system to me and/or solutions to this horrible blight on my lovely nation lol.

Think you can see which settlement it's happening in when you inspect them, just do that with all of them until you find the cause, then either try to solve it by raising public order, town guards etc, think that'll work. Or just give it to someone else for money or another favor.

Its not the governers or public order, I've built town hall buildings and left out brothels/what have you except for big towns.

By the looks of it, its to do with distance to capital as currently its Venice, and all the corruption problems are in the Aegean sea area =/

One huge factor is the large distance from your capital to the cities in Greece and Anatolia and since it is an SS campaign the distances are even larger than in vanilla. In SS it is very expensive to move one's capital too, so there is no easy solution.

move it to a territory next to venice, it should help alot, also, move your generals out of the city and see how that affects it

Man, don't you see that your corruption statistic is 13337? It means you're uber l333t!

Completely max out your town halls in the eastern settlements if you didn't already, as well as the city barracks. Then find your governors with the best law traits and move them to Constantinople, Thessalonica, and the other eastern cash cows. And maybe make Durazzo your capital if you don't have enough law-giving governors.
