Default Mongol Khan is a Loser

With reference to the SS 6.1 traits file (I use Quark's modified version) and playing the Grand Campaign (not the custom Late Era):

Something strange about the Mongol invasion script in the Grand Campaign is that the first two characters spawned in as part of the 'scouting invasion' seem to become the Mongol royal family automatically. This is disastrous as they have absolutely no traits beyond the standard 5 loyalty, 3 piety and the faction leader or faction heir traits. When the main invasion spawns in a few turns later, you get three awesome generals with high dread, full command stars and plenty of other positive traits, while their 'Khan' has a mediocre 3 command stars and his heir has none... has anyone else noticed this?

The traits file also makes warlike factions (Cumans, Lithuanians, Templars and Teutonics) more likely to have militarily inclined warriors. Unfortunately, the Mongols are not on the list. Instead, you get a majority of Mongol generals after the first generation becoming excellent administrators. This is not perhaps that big a deal except that military education gives a massive boost to movement points on the campaign map, which is essential for the Mongols to do more than wander around in the Northeast forever.

The Mongol script is vanilla, next version will not be, so when Genghis comes on to the map, believe me he is a Dread 10 star leader. Currently there are 5 invasions in the script/events files from Khiva to Hungary.

Once I have Ai fixed, Mongol Ai is next to make them a bit more aggressive.

Quark, that's awesome. Obviously Ghengis needs to be one bad MOFO who causes anyone who crosses him to be FUBAR.

You do excellent work, my friend.

Fantastic. Please remember the ReligionStarter trait that vanilla doesn't give to like half the characters, especially the event spawned ones. Mongols need piety or they will face a lot of revolts (and their leaders start with PublicFaith anyway so they were meant to be good pagans/Muslims). Teutonic Knights definitely need ReligionStarter or they will end up excommunicated... I think Grandmaster Hermann von Salza starts with 1 piety when he should have at least 4 (3 base +1 PublicFaith).

William Wallace also seems to be a walking tower of blasphemy.

No probs, had done it already for Mongols (although it did depend on what I read on them), but will go back and look at other characters as well.
