Is it fixed?

Is gamespy fixed? Because I haven't had good enough internet to play online recently, until today I got DSL (yes it's not that great but it's good enough to play online with). I went online after making my gamespy ID etc. and I would get a message saying "Connection Lost", then I would retry and I would get "Failed to Log on". Then I would retry it and those same two messages came up over and over again in that order. Is it my connection, or is this normal? (By the way it's AT&T DSL, so if anybody has any info as to whether or not that is good enough to be able to play online, tell me.)

this is normal, search the forum and you will probably find 20 other topics with the same problem

Well, I did read topics about it. But I was just wondering if perhaps gamespy was working again, and it was just my connection that was the bad thing.

I have the same issues with connection ect. It's a shame because it would have been fun to play. Waist of money as far as I am concerned.

I wouldn't call it fixed, but like I said in the other treads about this, seems to be hit or miss.

Well today I tried and tried about 4 PM CST and gave up. I tried with both M2 and Kingdoms no luck. But later about 7:30 PM I was able to get logged but it took about 30 tries. I know most people won't put up with that. So it might be time to return to the WTF thread on the official forum (not that it does any good) but at least we can vent somewhere.

I was having good luck logging in if I logged into stainless steel 4.1, and logged on to the multiplayer there, said 'hi' to everybody, and then quit, restarted in vanilla and got on multi. A couple of times it's worked on the first try, sometimes as many as 10, but it's always worked.

I've been able to get on in ~3 tries almost every time. The only unfortunate thing is that until Friday, I have to use wireless internet, so during alot of matches, I lose connection.

But once Friday comes, I'll be using an ethernet cable directly connected to my router, which will mean I won't lose connection. If anybody here still plays online, I play as Carswell.
