    Default Andrew J. Bacevich

    http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/08152008/watch.html

    Is an imperial presidency destroying what America stands for? Bill Moyers sits down with history and international relations expert and former US Army Colonel Andrew J. Bacevich who identifies three major problems facing our democracy: the crises of economy, government and militarism, and calls for a redefinition of the American way of life.

    This man is a true patriot to what America stood for. They should be proud of him.
    But mark me well; Religion is my name;
    An angel once: but now a fury grown,
    Too often talked of, but too little known.

    Well done, but that's just pointing out the obvious, now what does he propose to do?

    Sigh, the ususal reflex if someone is saying something he doesn't like.
    How simplistic.

    The guy is conservative, and I would say one of the few in the entire debate what America stands for these days, who is actually talking sense. He is articulate, his ideas intelligent. And I agree the biggest threath to the Americans are the Americans themselves, continuing to believe and hanging on to myths they created about themselves.

    Am afraid the warmongers in these forums will pass this one on.

    WHAT THE ****, PEOPLE.

    How could that not be imagined coming from a socialist's mouth?

    Yes, he probably was conservative or something, but that's what I figured coming from Skinna, so I contrasted it with a joke (calling a conservative liberal).

    Point taken neophyte, however labeling someone a liberal=commie=weak and feeble is almost standard practise in these forums. Hence my reaction.

    Neophyte calls it as he sees it.

    If it walks like a duck and smells like duck... guess what? It's a duck - a goddamn commie duck.

    Plus, with a last name like "Bacevich", which is clearly Russian or Polish or Swedish or something, you know, one of those ex-soviet commie states, how can he be an American patriot?
