There are a lot of imaginary states and countries like Liliput, Blefuscu, Neverland, Kosovo,Shangri La, Tlon-Uqbar... which exist only in imagination of it's creators...

But if you read the article it sounds like quite a formal state. The court decided he could not be tried under British law for firing warning shots at people within it's waters. And someone else mentioned he retook it by helicopter invasion and even managed to get hold of some POW's.

i think I am going to have to get my own country when I am older. :hmmm:

i like that idea, i also find the gay and lesbian nation weird. we should attack all these micronations and take them over for TWC!!!!!!!!!! we'll probably have more citizens than all the other micronations put together

A micronation can't be recognised, the Fort is British, if they piss us off, we'll simply take it back, but until then they can just stay quite and live out their fantasies.

Actually, Sealand 'soldiers' fired upon a Royal navy (civillian manned) auxillary ship.
They were 'defending their terretorial waters'
