They`re all useful, but-for me- it`s merchants guild, because you get increase in tradeable goods in settlements with that guild. You can play without spies and assassins, sherwood archers and hospitaller knights but you cannot play without money.Lots of money. They say that masons guild is particulary useful beacause it reduces cost of all buildings but I`ve never had that guild.
i love the hospitalier guild, namely because i would have just gotten feudal knights at this point and right of the bat, i can get hospitaliers
Take Adventures in a Land Down Under. My latest AAR
When a general joins crusade you get +25points for hospitallers guild in all settlements, when you recruit unit of hospitaller knights you get +10 points,if governor has chivalry>4 that settlement gets +5points per turn.Hospitallers guild get a +10points per turn when settlement has muslim neighbours, and it gets +10 bonus for all settlements when you declare war on a muslim faction. When certain settlement gains 100 points basic hospitallers guild is offered, you need 250 points for masters guild and 500 points for guild HQ. Simple answer would be:join crusades and install governors with high chivalry until you get basic guild and than keep recruiting hospitaller knights each turn until you get guild HQ.
Ok thanks. Problem is my general is my "war general" too, and he's the faction heir. He has 8/10 chivalry, 7/10 command, 9/10 loyalty but no piety. Don't think I'll be sending him home to england anytime soon tho, all my other generals only got piety and loyalty, maybe 1 command at most.
Explorer's guild because of the extra movement AND you get to open a trade route to India, giving you EXTRA TRADE MUHAHA!
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

only if you build priests... I find that Huge Cathedrals work better. They are also more intimidating.

Merchants Guild and Assassin's Guild is all I ever get; never been able to try the others, I guess they all hate me.

The bakers guild is my favorite. I love the point where the last Muslim kingdom is defeated so that my bakers can bake croissants. Mmmmm. Pass the butter, please.
In 95% of cases I choose to build Merchant Guilds. War needs three things money, money and money ( or something like that)
