I_TurnNumber possibilities?
Hi,
Is it possible to script something like
I_TurnNumber "current date+50"
I want to see if it's possible to script, if you failed, the next script will be launch in 50 turns, if you succeed it will be launch in 5 turns , whenever the date is.
I want to use time lenght trigger, and not fixed date.
Small explanation of what I am doing:
I want to generate rebellion with add_turmoil ( works ). If the rebellion succeed and the settlement belong to the rebels, and the previous factions owner does not take it back in 5 turns, then five turns later another settlement of this faction rebels.
If the rebellion failed, or the city quickly take back, then the next rebellion will be in 50 turns.
The script works, but for the date trigger it's quickly a nightmare.
For 6 settlements we have : 46 implementations, cause the I_TurnNumber is insert manually. ( every city give two possibilities, so first city, 2 choices, next city 4 ect... )
If city 1 success in rebellion, next city will rebel in 5 turns, if not, it will be in 50 turns. Then if City 2 success in rebellion, next city will rebel in 10 or 55 turns, if failed 55 or 100 turns...
There is no possibilities too to script historic events date...
I hoped to implement the add_turmoil to an historic event, then modify the trigger date via script...
I am sorry to bother you, but I spend 30 hours on it, even if I did learn a great deal with this script.

Re: I_TurnNumber possibilities?
Just set a counter and increment each TurnEnd. When it hits 5 or 10 or whatever, run your commands.

Re: I_TurnNumber possibilities?
Thanks, after some short testings, it works perfectly. Unless having hundreds of implementations for 8 cities, I just have 2 implementations per city for 3 triggers. So 16 implementations, I can manage.
Thank you a lot...
