You cant spell slaughter without laughter!

Good luck to them. Personally, i think the Pope is just a power hungry criminal.

Technically should they not be filing suit against the descendants of Philip IV (King of France) who controlled Pope Clement V??? What a waste of everyone's time.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

150 BILLION DOLLARS?!
HOLYING

well, the amount of wealth the templars possessed during the period probably wouldnt be far off that if we are to take into account the economics and so forth today relative to then.
that really goes back to the french again, with napoleon... and then Britain deciding they would keep it after nicking it off him.
all in all the french have a lot to pay out forif we are to accept all these absurd demands anyway.
Pope has a pretty convinient cover though if it is to be tried in any european court, having to swear on Christianity's holy book.... the pope doesnt really have a problem when he's a representative of God himself. U cant sue god's employee!
Not if they win. I'd love to see this on tv, the Pope defending himself![]()

Why should a bunch of lunatics who's lives have failed, and have resorted to clutching onto what is probably very loose genealogy be rewarded so much money, for an event that happened 700 years ago? If they want to dig up the body of King Philip IV and sell and rings he has on his corpse, fine! But 150 Billion dollars, please. Why not just get a life and stop trying to ride the coat tails of people that did great things 700 years ago, that you probably are not directly related to anyway. I hope they get counter-sued and convicted of fraud.

Pretty sure the Manchus stole my great great great grandfather's furniture (according to family accounts, he was governor of Shao Xing at the time).
Who can I sue to get some money back?
These guys have no relationship with the Knights of the Temple, they are merely a new order with the same name. I've known one of them (a M.D. specialized in homeopathy...), really funny stuff.
As was said above, what a waste of everyone's time. Additionally, in modern times everyone is entitled to fifteen minutes of popularity.
