    Default Ballistas

Ballistas: I never used to use them at all as they slow your army down and they can't damage gates. However I've been using them recently as they are quite a laugh and to impale a fair few people if aimed right.

I had a question: whats the difference between using fire missiles or normal? They both seem to poke the same amount of enemies, and if the normal shot reloads quicker then whats the point of flame missiles (besides more fun)?

If your hit with the fire ones they take out more men. But the regular is more precise and better for aiming at a single unit. Especially yo take out the general and his bodyguards.

So use fire if there is many units and regular if your aming at something spicific.

I find balistaes rather good actually for a 1st tier artellry.

    Your right about that.

the thing about flame arrows is that they just keeps going. They can really slaugther sometimes when your up against a large group of enemys. Also they are fairly accurate.

Regular balistaes shots is even more accurate but dont take out that many units.

But used against a single unit group regular shots is best.

    It depends on the situation.

    yeah, i really like ballistas.

But yeah, normal shot is accurate to aim for those gates, generals, walls, etc... whereas if you have a large group of enemies say huddled in a town square for warmth then a flaming misslie although being less accurate does kill more.

Generally with arrow fire once again flaming missiles are less accurate but if you hit someone they go down unlike regular arrows which it seems even peasants can shrug off a couple before dying, although they will likely run away from youre rain of fire, lol.

personally i like the ballistas much more than catapults although i think the addition of Mangonels in SS is great, such brilliant fireworks, innaccurate but its very pretty.

    edit-

do they really not destroy walls? im sure ive done so on a few times before. sure you cant go through anything larger than a wooden wall without a full stack of ballistas but still.
Its not the one with youre name on it, its the one addressed to whom this may concern you have to worry about
