Default RTR featured in Boomtown Article

I thought I'd mention to you all that RTR (along with EB, FATW and NTW2) has been featured in an article on the web-based game site Boomtown ( here), which has been published today.

The article has been written by Graham Clifford (here on TWC as Boomtown UK) from information and images that we supplied, which he has topped and tailed.

The piece is very positive for us, and the other great mods featured, but I did notice that the images we supplied seem to have gotten mixed up with EB's, and vice versa. Not a huge problem, but I'd hate anyone to think that we are trying to pass off EB's excellent units as our own, or foist ours onto them!

I also scratched my head a little when I read "RTR never sacrifices realism for gameplay" because it's not something we say or claim. For, let's be honest, while realism and historical accuracy is something we, and other mods, strive for, the limitations of the RTW engine sometimes prevent us from doing so 100%.

But, all in all, I think Graham has done us proud and is to be thanked for doing a good job.

I get the feeling that is where Graham starts his own comments rather than using the comments supplied by the various mods (if you notice the style of each is different - some mods mention numbers of downloads where there was no so mention in RTR).

Also, article is spelt with an 'l' between the 'c' and 'e' - at least when I went to school......

That's pretty much the case I think. Graham wrote back to me a little while ago saying was going to sort the images around, but I don't know if he's manged to do it yet.

    Anyone can make tipping mistakes.

Brusilov remindes me of one of my professors - there both good at finding such mistakes.

I think the Article was qiute good. I might even take a closer look on those mods...

Well, it was the title of a thread, after all. I didn't spot it until I'd completed most of my reply.

Well, if you ever get to write code you will find how important these little typos are. Sometimes the code will simply fail, other times it does something else and other times it may loop.

It's called 'attention to detail'. As I responded to Tony83 in the world of coding (in real life not for games) typos can be disastrous (they can be in games as well).

Oh, I can't be bothered to highlight your typos. Maybe that's a tip?

Hehe - cheers matey, thanks for the support.

Brusilov is a team mate and he has obviously appointed himself as my personal watchdog for tippling mistooks. He obviouisly thinks that I can't be let out and trusted on my own. Maybe he's right!

I can assure you that I am not proof reading your posts. I've got far more important matters to attend such as cleaning the cushion covers and taking out the rubbish.....

I don't know - the younger generation, how did you ever get out of school......
