    Are you saying only those two lines are in your preferences file :hmmm:? Because then you should really re-install, the file should be a lot longer than that initially...

    Hm... not if he is talking about his mod's .cfg file.

    In this case, just add:

    [video]
    show_banners = 0

    [game]
    disable_arrow_markers = 1

    Cheers for the reply's lads.

    I'm on about my main medieval2.preference.cfg file in my root MTW2 folder, It only contained them lines, but my games were / are working fine.

    I found an old copy of a preference file from when I had it on my pc upstairs, I just copy and pasted it over the one with the short lines.

    Everything still working fine, just the marker and arrows are still there even when set off.

    hmm, can't think what I'm doing wrong, I used to have it sorted. :hmmm:

    I'll try adding what you said into my mod.cfg - using SS- 5 I think.

    Well if you have it all in there now, than what you need to do is the above edits mentioned by Dimitri. You don't need a different .cfg file in order to do it though. Both conditions are or should be in your main medieval2.preferences.cfg. So you can change them there. The problem is every time you start the game, it will export your in-game Options settings to this file, thus over-writing any changes. The way to fix this, is once you've made the changes, go to the Properties for medieval2.preferences.cfg and make it a Read-Only file. This should prevent the game from writing over it. That also means your in-game options won't take effect, so keep this in mind.

    Cheers,
