I always suffer the problem of a bad reputation but I actually don't understand why. Played a game recently as Sicily ended up fighting 8 nations with no help, basically fighting for dear life. I didn't even declare war once! How on earth do I have a "dubious" and "very untrustworthy" reputation? I assume that was a chief reason for the massive war, or am I wrong? Also how can I build it to being a good one? Or is that actually flat out impossible?

You get bad rep by crossing other people's land if you don't have military access, exterminating prisoners and settlements, breaking alliances, and using assassins and spies on characters/settlements (using spies to scout is OK though, and counter assassinating is worth the risk).

You get good rep by occupying settlements, giving away gifts to other factions, releasing prisoners, and going on Crusades.

...And, talking about bad rep, sometimes you get this when you kill crusader.I think I had "trustworthy" rep previous turn.

No, it's not a mod, when you get towards the end of the campaign, you can unlock the Americas, just like gunpowder . There is no set time.

Great, also I assume if you have a high reputation it makes say trading cities or even buying them a little more possible? Or is there actually not too much of a point to having a good rep? Also when the case when your two allies go to war, you are bound to get a reputation decrease aren't you?

Actually, it`s Custom campaign mod 2 by Unspoken Knight (great mod btw).Unit upkeep is halved compared to vanilla and it allows you to have so much money.

Don`t worry too much about your reputation or relations with other factions. Just kill `em all.

Reputation isn't that important seeing as sooner or later you are gonna destroy them.
