End Turn takes over a minute - two

How come when I press end turn, by the time every empire has had their turn, it takes 1 - 2 minutes.

Is this normal?

It seems quite normal, there are a few threads about this. The strange thing is that some people who have very good computers are getting very long turn times while people with older computers are getting shorter turn times. I personally get around 1 minute with Intel E6300 and 1 GB of RAM. Make sure you uninstall Byg's reality mod as it adds a lot of time. There are also ways of modifying out unnecessary things to reduce turn time.

I heard this before by many people on this forum. Its strange, it seems that im one of the few where the turns are quite short.

It takes about 30 a 45 sec at mine I think.

I unfortunately installed the Byg's reality time..

Is there a way to uninstall it without uninstall the entire SS 6.1?

I'm not quite sure how you can uninstall Byg's reality mod, but re installation of Stainless Steel isn't a huge hassle.

Yea, like turning off shadow in the campaign map field. I believe that reduced turn time.

Still, it's rather strange why some people are getting extremely fast turn times (7-20 seconds) while others are getting retardedly slow turntimes (2-5 minutes).

Completely uninstall SS, MTW2, and Kingdoms and then reinstall. It takes a long time to do, but it does speed things up.

Look at it, this way: How long it takes you to make your turn? 5-10 minutes? Just think about how the AI is feeling... I can imagine the computers talking to each other via internet:
AI 1: My human player today spend 15 minutes taking his turn, I can't take this anymore!!
AI 2: This is a known bug of the so-called humanplayers, use the search function before posting!!

I don't think there is many of those. To majority, it takes something like two to three minutes.
