Vista and screen shots
OK, I've had a search through the forum and I've found lots of good Vista information that's allowed me to get my shiny new Vista Ultimate Edition 64 bit system up and working with minimal fuss - I've been able to launch RTW based games and edit the preferences.txt file in the non game-folder.
I tried to take a screen shot the other day in-game using the method of pressing CRL+ALT+PrintScreen (capture 'active' window) and then pasting the result into PaintShopPro XI. I end up getting the Widows desktop rather than the game.
I've tried to use CTRL+PrintScreen (capture window) and the results are the same.
I can take screen shots using Fraps. However, I like to see what I've captured rather than think I've captured. (It's a bit like taking a photo on film and not knowing if it worked out until the film was developed).
I've changed the shortcut propeties to run in normal window (the default) but also minimized and maximimed with no change to my screen shots.
I know there is a 'Snipping Tool' available in Windows Vista but this doesn't look appropriate for a game.
So, any advice would be welcome. A post to a thread that explains what I need to do would be great.
