    Default install problem

Ive got my cd key codes and all my disks. Everything goes fine up untill it requests disk 3. I put in disk 3 nd the error of unspecified path or wrong disk pops up. What should I do?

3 disks? I take it that is the gold edition. Which I don't have :/ But anyway, are you inserting all disks to the same drive? and when the notification box comes up asking you to select the destination path for the disk, are you using the same drive for each time that comes up for each disk?

Edit: Ok I only just noticed what forum this is in, and I thought it was in the MEdieval II Total War tech support section, but still try that method I said.

Disc 3 could be a bad disc. Can you pull it up in My Computer and read the files on it?

Have a look at the surface of the disk, if it's dirty try and clean it with a cleaning kit for CD or DVDs. If it's scratched badly you could try and repair it but I don't know if the disc will be useable afterwards (I keep my discs either in the CD/DVD drive or in their cases). It's possible for the discs to attract dirt though (and greasy/oily fingerprints).

A small scratch may not be the cause of your problems. As Irishron has posted - can you look at the files on the 3rd CD.

If you like RTW there are plenty of cheap versions of the game that have been released.
