I started a new campaign with england on vh/vh, even though england is my fav faction this is ny first SS campaign wth them in the late era, got off to a great start and was planning to eliminate scotland for breakfast

well did i get a challenge or two, williamwallace backed by three stacks hit me after taking edenburgh and i had some of the best scot english battle ever, my overall point to be made is that england is not the 'super easy' faction due to the island advantage as scotland is a real thorn in the backside

ps spain has also invaded with a full stack whilst i was fighting in the north which has really spiced things up

I was also having a great England game which Scotland put up a great fight. Even though it was in early era so the troops were only castle era and mercs (with the odd few fortress troops near the end) the scots put up a hell of a fight. Shortly after defeating them and Ireland (who put up less of a fight ) the Danes invaded Nottingham with a half stack and Caen (Normandy) with a full stack lead by the King and two other generals. The the game gets CTD.......end of game

Still i think most people underestimate Scotland, i know i did

I have only actuly fought William Wallace once and i thought we was pretty east tbh. He has a large army which isnt that great considering the time of game he appears in and he is only in a unit of border horse which can be killed easy (at that what i remember?)

Its funny who invades British Isles when you are playing for England. I had Portuguese and Moors coming all the way from Spain and invading Wells. From there they proceeded to attack me and Scotland and Portuguese even laid siege to London.
