i sarted a campaign today as the french and was besieged in paris by *gasp* REBELS!!!! I didn't even know this was possible. i didnt even have mods on:hmmm:

France was definatley not united at 1080 - most of the kingdom was in dissaray and revolt

This actually happens alot to, or rather other nations and not me. It's usually around turn 34 for me when Massive Rebel Armies run around taking cities or just standing around decimating the countryside and everyones economy.

It must have been an hallucination. It is about 1 in a thousand that a rebel army will even move. If such ever really happens it can only be due to a Windows bug.

Has happened to me alot in RTW- I don't know if its any different.

I've played on M/M, H/H, and VH/VH, never seen rebels attack, much less siege!

I've had rebels persistently attack one of my towns once. They just spawned and laid siege to (I think it was) Caernarvon. I got my nearby general to chase them off and then pursue them into the woods where he slaughtered them. A few turns later another rebel army spawned and besieged Caernarvon again! This happened about two more times afterwards, and it was always Caernarvon, no idea why.

I think the formula to make them attack is if your settlement is woefully occupied. I only had 2 units of Town Militia in Caernarvon at the time.

If it has the same mechanic as RTW which I think it has , they only seige cities in H/Vh Campaign I have seen them seige my cities.

actually i dont think rebels have ever blockaded my ports either....
i could be wrong but i cant remember it happeneing.

You can get tough rebels as well, its good when you face them on the battlefield and they you are in for a nasty surprise .
