unlock all factions with windows vista 64 bit?

ive been on numerous websites that all say i can unlock all the factions but each time i try and find the file name, i cant. i got a new computer that runs off vista and im ot sure how to find the correct file. can someone plz help me out with this?

Well if you want to unlock all factions:

Copy and paste into the adress bar, once you open up, lets say, my documents.

C:\Program Files\SEGA

Alternative: Just go on search , and search Medieval II Total war. Then double click on the one with the folder icon, which has C:\Program Files\SEGA next to it.

Once you enter Medieval 2 total war program files, you will see a lot of different stuff.

The first bunch of stuff are folders, click on the 'data' folder.

Then you will come across more folders and files, and click on the 'world' folder.

After that, click on the only folder, which is obviously maps, and then choose campaign. Go on the imperial campaign folder, and all the files will come up.

Find the text file name descr_strat.

That will be the file you are looking for.

Do what he said, it really doesn't get any simpler and to the point than that step by step. Then if you have problems with the actual editing of the file, post those here again.

or you could just beat a game as spain on easy mode..or any 1 like that..on a short campaign to..wouldnt take long..just automate ur battles as well
But I prefer MODs anyways
