Post your favorite faction and why?

If your interested pick a faction for me to start an AAR about and i'll begin it shortly if the goals you set for me sound fun

My favorite faction is always the next one I am going to play.

I really like the Templar Knights in SS. You start next to lots of rebel lands and with only a wooden castle which can recruit peaseants, plus your starting army is basically just pilgrims and fanatics. Pure suckage.

Their roster is invincible nearly, Swiss Guards, DM French Archers, Great Heavy cavalry, good gunpowder, zweihanders, very good heavy infantry (Templar Knights and Templar Guards especially)

It's all about surviving the start

I like a lot the French, cuz they have a Nice army and they have a lot of conficts at the begining...! Aslo because they can Capture easy England...

England and scotland, both very easy to play as long as you conquer britain before the enemy expands their army, after you've done that britain is pretty much invincible.

Except for france, sicilly's and HRE's constant ship battles with your fleet..

Copy that! And England especially with its amazing longbowmen...
Of course there's the Aztecs who can blitz quite well early on, balancing their weak tech (considering you're playing Custom Campaign Mod, or the Americas Campaign).

I like Scotland because I love conquereing England! but after England there is nowhere else to go, France is too strong so I usually blitz Denmark! They never see it coming!

France is not too strong. If you play with a mod that removes the pikemen's secondary weapon, recruit pike militia and fight all battles on the field and do not autoresolve. With spies to open gates and pikemen in the attack, you can often win assaults with half as many men as the enemy has (especially helpful to have a border horse to run in and capture the gate because about the only losses you'll take are from the invisible wall archers). The French heavy knights are easily shredded in the streets and in the field they will normally stupidly charge straight into your pikemen (whom they must view as drunken peasants out on a picnic).

Lithuania (from various moddage) as there's nothing as satisfying as making the world bow down to the old gods once more!

Failing that, Denmark have a lovely roster of heavy-hitters. Shame about the lack of spearmen!

HRE! German accents are fun, cool color scheme, very challenging campaign, Reiters and Gothic knights are awesome.

I'm not sure I take so much pride in mine as yours. I just re-beat CoD 2 Big Red One yesterday.

And I like Venice the best, but you should do a Egyptian AAR because of all the crusader infidels you get to eat. Oh wait I said Egypt not Mongols.

Mine would definitely be Venice; love their units, colors, flag, position, and the aura of being the wealthiest and most powerful trade faction .

Milan is probably my favourite faction. They have awsome crossbowmen and make a lot of cash early on. The location on the strategical map is also perfect. With a ship you easily reach the holy land in only a couple of turns in the case of a crusade. Also if the pope excommunicates you, you can simply attack Rome and kill the annoying pope!

Having said that I'm fine with every faction. The AI is that dump that you can win with every faction relatively easily. Byzantines are also sweet. That is, because I'm very much interested in Byzantine history.
