    Default Character Attributes

    Hello

Is there a way to now exactly what each attributes does in game? Any type of documentation/description or specific file? Some are really easy to understand but for some other other such as Violence, TrainingUnints, TrainingAnimalUnits, Boldness, and some others I really would like to know more.

    Thanks

You mean the vices and virtues right? I would like to know as well, especially for 'violence', 'unorthodoxy' and 'magic'. I assume that violence relates to assassins, unorthodoxy to general's weirdness-type traits, and magic to the priest type but cannot be sure.

TrainingAnimalUnits and Boldness aren't on the docudemons (v4) list. Where did you read about them?

In Alpaca's tutorial about traits. He list all possible attributes that can be used.

You can usually do a search for the attributes in the traits file in the data directory. In the bottom of each section is stated what influence\ability they have.

TrainingAnimalUnits is a holdover from Rome: Total War. Violence is a trait for Priests. If they become Pope, they will have more chance of declaring a Crusade. Unorthodoxy is another trait for Priests. It decreases their chances of becoming Pope and increases chances of becoming a Heretic. Magic is a trait for Witches. It is like Piety for Priests and Heretics, or Subterfuge for Assassins and Spies. Boldness never got implemented into the game.

As you seems to be very informed about the matter do you know where you can find those information? For example is TrainingUnits another leftover from Rome? If not, what does it do? And what about BodyGuardValue or Defense?

    Thank you for you answer.

No problem. Most of that is just stuff I picked up - but look at the the export_descr_character_traits.txt file for more. TrainingUnits would probably make units cheaper, BodyGuardValue, if it works, increases the size of a general's bodyguard, and Defence, as it's spelled in the game files, increases the general's Command when defending. Good Luck! (50th post!)
