Heya, i've just got this mod of recommendation from a friend and i must say it rocks so far much more enjoyable than the Vanilla, it does for MED what EB did for Rome so well done.

However i have just one question.

Crusades, in the Vanilla Pope Urban liked to call the first crusade, and it seemed to be a scripted event, but when i got the expansion this stopped happening, so i was wondering what was up with this, and if Urban calls the Crusade in this mod?

I find most first crusades are called later on average than in vanilla, most of them also tend to be sent to Cairo or Vilnius rather than Jerusalem.

I tend to call my own crusades when they are convenient, nothing like declaring a crusade against that freshly excommunicated faction which has been attacking you for the last 10 game turns.

The crusades for me is always against Vienna or Florence.

lol i think the best crusade ive ever been on was on an old denmark campaign, i had most of the north of the map covered with the moors owning most of the western meditaranean, they attacked rome and took it then the pope to whom i had given visby declared a crusade on rome.

Vilnius and Toulouse are prime Crusade targets in my games. I tend to request them quite a lot, though, and on much more "convenient" targets, so fortunately the AI doesn't get to request Crusades so often.

I nearly always call my own Crusades in the Holy land, the AI rarely gets a chance to call them.
