... in 1280 AD , the Leon & Castille faction they can build theirs first gun powder ... he is not too early to construct them? ... the MOD is really amazing , congratz and greetings .

Yes I think too that gun powder units are too early available in game

Well, one of the main issues that anyone has with making a game is that the game functions independently from computer to computer thus each player determines their own play experience. While the cannons may be too easily gained they do provide a unique experience to the over all feel of the mod.

For example lets take France, it is really unrealistic to assume that you will be bound by the normal restraints of History because you can and should take over as much land as you want. However, we know that France did not take over Europe but yet it is possible to do in this mod. That is a bigger issue if you really think about it from a Historical level. Besides, your play will be unique to you and someone else may not get cannons until a much later date. It had to do with personal goals within each players mind and how much progress technologically they wish to make.

While they could put restrictions on it such as a triggered event after a certain year it would not help the overall experience in my opinion. Instead it would be better to maybe make it an event that is tied to the middle east seeing as gunpowder weapons were not in wide use till after the crusades introduced the west to it again.

Well, all I meant was that while some modders have put restrictions on things, such as a reform system, it would be difficult to do here from what I understand.

Anyways, all that aside I think cannons should be usable by the Islamic factions much earlier than then the Christian factions.

A fine bit of logic, but a tad out of place when you consider that the first ever Medieval battle outside of Asia to use gunpowder was Crecy, in France! That's about as far west as you can get before hitting the Atlantic Ocean .

Marco Polo was introduce the powder in occident ... behind this , i dont know more
