Strongest, easiest faction to play?

Which faction, is in your opinion the strongest and easiest to play in Campaign mode? I am currently playing Poland (my first time) and it's not looking too good to me, I am still on Noble Polish Cavalry and Templar Knights at best, and the french has full stacked armies of dismounted knights and mounted, and cannons. Now they're taking town after town, so I'm thinking of starting fresh. Which faction would suit me best? I'm thinking of england, but I can see they have some problems with the french aswell, so I'm not sure.

could play as england, just give caen to france, and conquer britain, then do w/e

Yes, England. Conquer the British Isles and convert all the settlements there except Nottingham into cities to rake in massive cash. Longbows can lay waste to those pesky French.

Yes you need a boat to get to mainland europe, but everyone else needs a boat to get to you. Your second question sergeon already awsnered. City/Castle ratio is how you make money, the more cities you have the more money you'll make. Try in every campaign to keep at least 2 cities for every one castle (and i stress "at least"). Do what surgeon suggests and build trade, farming, and mining buildings in all the settlements. And dispite what some may tell you there is no specific build order that works "best", it depends on the settlement.

I saw the Egyptians, but I've never finished any of the European nations, I just crusaded and eliminated Turks in 20 turns as HRE then I played Turks and again and again and now the Egyptians.

Well Poland isn't necessarily the best faction because of its lack of all around good infantry. It depends on the difficulty but assuming you are playing on Easy or Medium, England is definitely a great choice. They probably have the easiest campaign in the game. However, once you play on Hard or Very Hard, Scotland becomes aggressive and you encounter constant invasions by Spain, Portugal, and Denmark. Speaking of Spain; they have great units, aren't landlocked, and can seclude to the Iberian Peninsula incase the situation become hectic. So if you want to play a reasonably easy faction with some diversity, try Spain. Also for a little recommendation, ally yourself with the Papal States, it will surely make the game easier.

i started as HRE and it is really fun easy and they have (i think) all the strongest stuff at the start

I love the holy roman empire, only thing I don't like with it is the location, almost exactly as I had with Poland, I can get attacked from the south, north, east and west.. Pretty much dead if I get more than 1 faction on me, and since it's so big and surrounded I'll probably be at war all the time.

And yes, England sure was great, played ALL night yesterday, about 70 turns and I had conquered a fourth of the whole world, denmark, britain, bit of france, portugal, castille&leon, some of Aragon, whole of Moors and a bit of egypt.

But now I'm installing Kingdoms, so I'll lose the save So now it's either HRE or France, maybe denmark as it's in a good location like England.

Easiest faction would be England, strongest the Holy Reich and Spain

I dunno if you will lose the save? You should be able to choose which version of the game you load everytime. Either it will set up like 6 icons on your desktop (one of which will be old school), or it will bring up an intro screen when you load which will ask you which version you want to load.

I dont think kindoms makes any changes to MTW2 gameplay unless you get the retrofit patch/mod/dealy. Kingdoms opens up totaly new campaigns based in specific regions:

-British Isles
-The Americas
-Tuetonic Knights camapign in NE europe

They each have their own campaign map, and play seperate from one another.

I did back it up, but, if I copy it in now it will mess up the game wont it? Cause the save only contains medieval 2 content, not kingdoms, so I'll probably get an error or something like that.. Or what do you think?

No it should work m2 can be launched interdependently from kingdoms so your saves should work.

First of all none of the factions are hard at all....I have beat Vanilla with all of them as well as all kingdoms campaigns... I think that a good one for a begginer would probably England or scotland (both realy easy) and if you want a little more challenging you could try denmark. It has Scandinavia to retreat to if things go bad with the Reich
