I have so far failed miserably to in 50 years to gain either a good trader or good builder trait in any of my generals. Normally I despatch one off to a local nowhere town to build a corn market with the population in the blue thus aquiring good taxman status. Then build a port. Job done demolish both and repeat with next general. According to the traits triggers it should be 100%. It doesnt seem to work with BC for some reason.

Cannot for love or money get the swords guild which did not use to be a problem I note that there are some limits on the numbers of swords units recruited. Can this be retweaked so the guilds can be aquired. As for the masons has anyone seen this in BC

I am though getting offers for assassins guilds in towns which doesnt even have tavern or equivalent. My generals are also getting drunk on fresh air? Some have shisha bars but I thought these are for coffee.

There are a few more. Just bad luck ? or something else.

Your generals are a lazy drunk bums from noble families.

I always get one of my family members as master trader , to do so, you need to train merchants with one general in one of your cities just keep training merchants and once it reaches the limits do some crazy aqcuisiton with one of your merchants and train another in the same city with the same general. the general first will get (understand trade) then (trader) then (master trader)
and it`s guaranteed on my behalf just try it and you will see.

Doesnt matter, i just egt incopetent trader with tax farming, farmer, mining knowledge, architech and overseer family members at age of 40.
