Crashed in the middle of a battle.

I just installed the game yesterday and until now there were no problems. Now all of a sudden I attack a french army and the game closes itself down. I didn't do anything special, I even tried going once without doing anything but it still closed down on me. I've tried doing everything I can think of but every time I attack it closes down due to a "unspecified error". Admittedly I was using a few cheat codes

So that might have something to do with it

But anyway, HELP!

Ok to be honest I don't know what that means

If that means did I uninstall and reinstall the game then no.

Did you try to auto-resolve the battle?

Unpacking means you used that special program in the game files to unlock even more game files..."unpacking" them. But you didn't do this so...have you downloaded the patches? I hope you know what means. The game's quite buggy unpatched so you might be doing something today that you weren't yesterday that caused it to crash.

What my friend (survivor, this is Xan from the ACC. Yes I do use this name everywhere) survivor did was used the cheat that gave him the artillery elephants right off the bat. Those elephants for some reason caused the game to crash.
