no, because u dont appear to know how war works. Georgia never specifically shelled civilian targets.

Civilians died as a result of Georgian shelling.

If Georgia didn't want to kill civilians, maybe she shouldn't have shelled a goddamn city. Period.

Can you prove "Georgia didn't mean it"?

Because I can prove civilians died from Georgian shelling.

once again, I havent seen any sources (besides Georgian govt officials) that claim that Russians captured the said Georgian settlements. please provide sources (photos and videos) or stop this disinformation.

Russian media is silent about these attacks.

Georgian Defence Ministry officials told the Associated Press that Russian troops had seized a military base in the town of Senaki, about 30 kilometres inland from the Black Sea.

A Georgian Interior Ministry spokesman said Russian forces also took over police stations in the town of Zugdidi, which is about 30 km from Senaki.

In Moscow, a government official, who spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to give his name, said the move into Senaki was intended to end Georgian resistance.

Russia Today even claims it. You are mad if you continue to deny the news of all informed outlets.

Nah seriously, Russiatoday seems to have a bad reputation, so I would not bet my life on what they say.

    Here is my 2 cents.

South Ossetia and Abkhazia want independence from Georgia and most of them want to join Russia. Georgia sent troops into South Ossetia and their tanks began demolishing homes and soldiers began shooting people http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7554420.stm

So when Russia caught wind of what was happening from Ossetians fleeing into Russia they began to attack the Georgian troops there. Using the "liberation" tactic to the international community.

And as an American I think that the US government has no place to tell Russia to stop especially after using the "liberation" and "freedom" lingo when we invaded Iraq.

    Not likely.

Speaking for myself: you'd have to pull me away from such a sweet story under gun point and severe manhandling. Even then I'd probably swallow the footage I got so far and poop it out later.

For all these who don't believe that Gori has been attacked by Russian ground forces, I present you a link from the detested and anti-russian American Pig Dog website CNN.

CNN and BBC are fairly neutral with perhaps a VERY SLIGHT Georgian bias simply due to the emotions that arise everytime when a small nation fights a much larger one. But they use scources from Russia.

    @Attila
It's an insult to place CNN and BBC in the same league as "Fox" wich is for all intents and purposes the US-American equivalent of Soviet-times Pravda.
Frederick II of Prussia: "All Religions are equal and good, if only the people that practice them are honest people; and if Turks and heathens came and wanted to live here in this country, we would build them mosques and churches."
Norge: "Give me a break. Nothing would make you happier than to see the eagle replaced with a crescent."

Ummon:"enforcing international law will require that the enforcers do not respect it"
Olmstead v USA:"Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. To declare that in the administration of the criminal law the end justifies the means-to declare that the government may commit crimes in order to secure the conviction of a private criminal-would bring terrible retribution. Against that pernicious doctrine this court should resolutely set its face."
