OK, I get that I'm a bit twisted, but being a little bored with fighting and expansion, I was inspired to create the most inbred family that I could. I was just wondering if anyone else is a sick as me and done the same thing, and what kind of degenerate traits/individuals I can look forward to inheriting my empire. A screenshot would be great. I hope there are some truly backwards looking portraits in the game because I was inspired to do this by a painting of King Carlos of Spain that was in a thread not to long ago.

By Goya? I love his work as well. I used to fancy that I found him one of my fave Spanish artists but I fear I went back to good ole El Greco.

Anyways, no I don't tend to try to get weird traits from my generals and family members. In fact I work very hard to either cure them or "cure them". That is send them on a rebel killing expedition.

Five or six generals that are filled with unhappy traits, who cannot reproduce or are insane or enjoy sitting on their butts far too much, grouped together and sent off into the wild looking for the rebel army bands that crop up in a larger empire. Those who come back are normally okay to place in the battleline again or they don't come back at all.

Of course you do tend to get the crazy who despite being a lunatic madman lives to tell the tale of epic battles with peasants and pitchforks, so I let him hang out with his own army.

Weird thing is, that in nearly all of my campaigns the familiy tree suddenly intertwines after 100 years or so and I get these retards without even trying.

yeah, I know its not the ideal thing to do, but I always try to make my generals as good as possible, with chivalry or dread or whatever. Been playing this game for a long time and figured whynot see what happens. My dream in this campaign is to have a whole settlement full of slobbering idiots.

lol, get 8 of them and make a "Slobbering Idot Crusade" You can merge it with the childrens crusade maybe they'll be more successful then?

If I can get enough of them together, a slobbering idiot crusade would be awsome. I wish i could us daughters that were not in the "princess line" for marriage as well. I'm having to kill off faction heirs with sons so that I can use another family member's 4 daughters. My rules in this game are no adoptions, no man of the hours, and no outside marriages, so any daughter I can't use just becomes a nun. Incest is best, keep it in the family!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Side note, I think I play this game too much, I need a hobby

I remember that in MTW, half of my military staff was mentally deranged so that every battle looked like the Special Olypmics gone wrong. That actually made sense because I made them do crazy . They were sons of ugly princesses and brutal motherers, charged enemies alone, frequently lost battles for silly reasons and fled nearly always.

Weirdly enough, i was playin Byzantine empire in Medieval Total WAr, and inbred alll my family and yet nobody ran, moreover my generals were no worse than the Golden Horde, and much better than anyone in europe )

I now have a "dangerously mad" king. Units tend to rebel more. Otherwise he is not so bad (not pagan magicians or foriegn fruitcake anyway). I am taking his to scare the tar out of the Timurids and to execute their last prisoners. He could rival Ivan the Terrible if I can get him into enough battles.

if you bring a screenshot of a slobbering idiot crusade occupying the crusade target id worship you. has to be a major muslim settlement though. none of this declare crusade on milan when they get exom. crap.

also worth noting: this was my first post from a cell phone...that was fun buut i think it cost me like 7 dollars and half a battery.

I think that the game is against too serious inbreeding. I have married a fertile general to his fecund aunt after being married for 10 years, they still have no children. Also, I haven't received an offer for marriage for my bachelor family members in 20 years or so. I think my entire line may die out before the end of the game. Oh well, we'll play it through and see what happens. It will be the first time I've lost because my family died out.

Hmm, I've got a few pictures of 'spawn('s) of incest' characters, but as they're beginning characters in a mod, it's not really much of an achievement...
