nope, they were not outdated at all. although bascinets were new helmets, those were still largely in use. i was doing some research, and by the coas of many serbian noblemen, that were in use too. as for more research, check out osprey the venetian empire 1200 - 1670, jacob cavalli (venetian) wears same helmet in 1380!! as mod starts they fit perfectly, so as bascinets and pigface helmets. serb noblemen were importing armor from venice, so it's obvious that venice influenced them (can be seen on many coas). as for pigface helmet, i'm planning to make upgrade unit with bascinets, pigface and dogface helmets, like that serbian knight from osprey (made from statue in ragusa). they will be available in the start, but serbia could only get it if you buy new italian armor in the game (you'll see what i'm planning for game system)

take care, sometimes Osprey get representation of knights with the tourney's helms.
I spoken particulary about the Iacopo's knight from 1380. Its nice, but I doubt really that one guy can support more than one hour this big helmet.
why not try the barbuta with nasal renforcement?
I have a good pic about, Italians had this while 1300-1350.
The late bassinet as in the reenactement is from 1380-1420~
the klapperVisor is more early, as 1350, but many versions were made from 1320 to 1450.

an advice: prefere Graham Turner than Osprey, the scenes of tourney are clearly illustrated(with the evening's wears...etc)

sorry guys, made a mistake, as osprey says, it was worn only in ceremonial service by that time. also one friend from this forum indicated me that it was outdated, and surely vlastela had bascinets. i'l bring back bascinets, so no worries
now, working on upgrade
