Loud Sounds

Im having a problem with very loud sounds and when i try to turn down the ingame music and such it does not get quiet. Ive tried exiting the game and re entering however it just stays the same volume. Turning down my sound does fix the problem however most of the time if i do that i cant hear other programs like ventrilo and Teamspeak.

The volume control is in the medieval2.preferences.txt. Just make it a read-only file so it doesn't overwtite your settings.
