HELP me Please

I wanted to install stainless steel on this computer...
bud when i download part 1, i wanted to install it bud
it went to 5 % and then it says
ERROR 21FC

what is that

Error 21FC means the file contains invalid data, so you have probarly got a bad download. Best bet would be to delete the file, defrag your hard disk and re-download.

To defrag the hard disk (this is if you're using XP, I have no idea with Vista), go Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter. If you don't like using Window's version theres other software you can get that will do it for you.

Just to verify I'm using vista and its the exact same path so

Another way is to rightclick on the diskdrive under "My computer" (just 'Computer" in Vista), select properties, and then you can find Defragment under 'Functions'.

I'm sure you wouldn't need to defrag it - the file corruption could of been caused by loss of connection or packets being sent from your computer to your internet modem/router. Although most browsers, IE for example normally don't carry on downloading when there is a loss in connection, it can happen if the loss of connection was brief and possibley unnoticable to you. =/

Another cause could be that while downloading you had programs running that required your internet browsers to close - mainly Installers - they don't really work together.

pffff i removed the downloads...
Defrag my disk...
redownload it and now its says the same error..

what to do now

Download with a different browser, download to a different place, preferably to a different drive.

Re-do it again. Sometimes it takes twice or three times to be completed successfully.

its the only thing i can think of, you could try to find out what the missing or damaged file(s) are and get someone to upload the for you individually
