I don't like the grim reality mod because of the Zeal of the people, is your zeal low, you will have crappy generals...I personally only play with RR and SSTC, con for grim reality mod because it is for my taste a liddle bit too realistic,
pro for RR because it adds more fun in recruiting, its a liddle bit harder but it is the realism I need ^^
Agree completely with khorne, BYG makes for a severly restricted game, fun for some but not me.
Whereas RR gives a real sense of the evolution of arms. I would also recommend Banzais AOR expanded, although the install instructions are a bit daunting, it is well worth the effort.
Tanks 4 ur answers.....I will go with rr only then...![]()
that's not quite true though... although BYG is a bit hard and those zeals is sometimes a bummer but in my campaign i never really had a problem with those zeals, their are ways to counter this and it adds realism to it.. some ppl just dont like it becuz of its seemingly complexity but not..
anyway its your game do what you want,
Personally I cannot play without RR and Byg's Grim Reality. RR is great because it provides a much more realistic army composition and technology progression. No more full plate armour in the 11th century!
Byg's mod is awesome because it not only introduces a more realistic representation of the problems of running an empire, but also because it encourages the player to think about what they are doing and what they are going to do. It does make the game harder but then again the game was too easy to begin with. It does take a bit of getting used to and it isn't for everyone. But if you like a bit of a challenge then I highly recommend it.
