So, yeah, which Catholic faction is the most fun to play as (face it, I'm not gonna be France, Milan, or Hungary)

Personally I enjoyed Milan more than any other vanilla faction. Other than that its probably Venice.

The reason that I excluded France, Milan, Hungary, the Muslim Factions, and the Orthodox factions is because I don't want to do a campaign as them right now (I do have one for Egypt, but that's beside the point) (and I hate France...)

By the way, what's the difference between Spain and Portugal? They both have a Castle and a City on the Iberian Pen. and they both get Conquistadors, Jinites, and Knights of Santiago.

Unit wise, I would say Portugal gets better ones in late game with Aventuros, Dismounted Portuguese Knights, and Portuguese Arquebusiers

They have the unique challenge of being surrounded by Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Milan, Venice, France, and later England/Papal States. All of these are christian factions, so you're thus immediately violating papal decrees from the get-go, therefore it makes it a very interesting campaign trying to be an upstanding catholic nation, and equally interesting if you get excommunicated and are attacked on all sides, there's no way to lose in terms of adventure.
