    Default Issue with aztecs discovered

The event for aztecs getting discovered is triggering really early, like 3rd turn. What affects this? Its not my mod its the grand campaign add on, but I want to fix this because it really bothers me. Any direction on what to look for would be most helpful.

Look in the Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_events.txt file. It should have descriptions of all of the events. The numbers underneath the event indicate how many years, not turns, after the start of the game the event occurs. So for example, this code:
    Code:
    ; ------------ CORE GAME EVENT --------------
    event	historic world_is_round
    date	320 328
denotes the world is round event. It should happen between 320 and 328 years in, so for a start date of 1080 AD, that means between 1400 AD and 1408 AD, or between turns 160 and 164. Good Luck!

I think my question was misunderstood. I am not getting the world is round event, in fact that event is set correctly. I am getting the aztecs discovered event. Which means maybe somehow something is messed up with that. Please help.

"Aztecs discovered" means some non-Aztec faction (pirates\rebels?) have got a unit in that area designated to trigger that event. This area shouldn't have any pirates or rebels just because of that. I think that is set in the descr_regions in the hidden resources line. Due to the nature of that area (jungle) you will not that unit even with fow disabled. You will have to disable fow before the turn that triggers it - that way you might see the unit while it moves (set "follow ai" as well)

As you can see from this part of the Grand Campaign script, slave faction shouldn't trigger the event.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

It surely is time for me to get back to my machine, else this kind of goof up occurs to often.
As Eothese points out correctly, neither the Aztecs nor the Rebels can trigger this event. So who was around there? Or is the script modified?

I'd check the strat file if any faction has a diplomat or spy with wrong coordinates at gamestart, aka somewhere in America...

How can I know where the coordinates are? Seems pretty confusing, I wonder what this goof did...

ok I did the ol FOW and once the event got triggered (actually about 6 or 7 turns in) I looked over there to see what happened. I noticed that all Aztec cities were rebel faction, which I don't know if this is how it should be, and also that there was nothing there that could have discovered them. So what could be causing this?

Also this is NOT the Grand Campaign mod. But the Grand Faction Add On.

Looks like someone messed up with the script. The Aztecs should be frozen until discovered, that way they cannot turn into rebels. But it is a different mod anyhow, so it will be different to help you there.

Ok I'm giving up on fixing up this persons mod and will try the gaelic mod grand campaign. Seems less buggy.. Basically i'm merging it with LTC changes...
