    Default Unit question

    I love this mod and I'm going to start a new campaign as France.
    When I looked through their unit roster I noticed that Noble Knights and Chivalric Knights got the exact same stats and cost - why is this? Except for having the bonus of two different recruitment pools of kickass knights, why would I want to buy one over the other?

    Another thing that's been bothering me is that some knights are mentioned in their description to have maces instead of swords - does this affect their combat effectiveness anything?

    Thank you for a great mod Dave - one request though.
    Could you add a campaign where all factions start with about the same amount of regions as in vanilla? I really like the early rebellion fights and the race to grab those precious regions.

    Hi, so i'm not the only one, with this idea!?! I'm currently thinking about to make some personal modification (sub-mod), it's not so difficult to manage, but it request many time to rebalancing and repositioning all the factions and units (incl.the rebells)!

    These units are currently unchanged from vanilla. Both of these units were only available in multiplayer in the original game if I remember correctly. Since I've made every single unit in M2TW available for recruitment in this mod you do get a few duplicate units.

    The idea of KGCM is to have the grand campaign like the Kingdoms campaigns, not the other way around. This means more developed settlments, and does away with the old idea of all factions starting off the same size. In which case Antioch would be as big as HRE in the campaign, or Norway as big as France etc. The campaign is more fast paced, and each faction starts off close to their actual sizes historically instead. But there are still some rebel settlements nearby every faction. I have no plans to make a custom campaign as it would not be anywhere near as much fun as my main campaign is now.

    Hey dave,
    would it be okay for you, when i make a post about this idea, in the sugestion thread, to explain more details about the variant? Because i do not intend to make them all start at the same size, but only some factions with some less regions.
