theres plenty of threads about turn time, as usual do all the closing down of all other applications, defrag youre hard drive, disconnect youre internet, firewall and virus checker.

In game dont end turn with the toggle_fow cheat on and follow AI units, turn campaign shadows off. THis should bring the turn time down, also BGR does make things a lot slower
Its not the one with youre name on it, its the one addressed to whom this may concern you have to worry about

Ok, so, I've done it all (defragging, scanning, optimizing, turned off firewall, no shadows, no following AI)...The end turn time is still approximately 1-2 minutes...And I don't have any BYG stuff or any other mods...Is this normal? How long are your turn times? Thanx in advance

It depends. If it is early on it takes 30 sek and later on it is 1 min. and it can also take 2 min.

It depends on your cpu. Is yours a dual core? If yes you have the same specs as me and should take the same time.

Disable the follow AI feature, it should shorten the time of the turn.
Then again, if you are SS 6.1 it will take more then 2 minutes.

M2TW dose not take advantages of Dual Core so it makes no difference

Right and wrong, if you have a multicore, other applications are run by one core, and M2TW gets its own one.

Whether you have DDR or DDR2 shouldn't make too much of a difference.

Long turns is a feature of SS, probably has to do with all the sub mods it has, huge map, etc. There is no way to get rid of it. I read a book during the AI's turn. Other good ideas for killing the time: Do some exercise. Take a nap. Tidy up your room or office.

I THINK I'm gonna play as moors so I can wipe out SPAIN ARAGON and PORTUGAL...this way, the end turns should be shorter

    play a FPS??
it's just an intrinsic part of playing a complex strategy game that you have to wait for the AI to calculate 27 factions' moves...for a minute or 2.
