Battle Speed And Stupid AI

hey guys. iv only recently restarted my Medieval 2 Total War, and started playing.

iv got Stainless Steel (cnt remember wt version) downloaded for it.

i dont have Kingdoms, only mtw2

yeah, my point is - why are battles so bloody slow?

example - im besieging london with scotland. my scottish dis. feudal knights engage hand to hand with spear militia, and we're STILL sitting here fighting after 10-20 mins of fighting!!!!!!

another thing is the behaviour of my own AI. archers shoot wierd, and when beseiging, the units act wierd when i try to send them up into enemy gatehouses.

any help guys? id appreciate it a lot. thanks.

If Stainless Steel modified the hip points, defense catagories, and offense catagories for longer battles, that is exactly what you would get. This sounds like Stainless Steel forum question not a technical forum question.

i jus switched the Battle AI and Campaign AI, the battles are now faster paced, which is very wierd....

Stupid AI is normal unfortunately M2TW has very stupid AI even stupider than RTWs

stupider? lol om. aye i know. its buggered up. but at least the games now playable. seriously, tht battle pace was driving me up the wall ¬_¬
