Solid shot vs Exploding shot

What's generally a better choice? I know vs walls it's solid shot but what about against infantry?

I've noticed solid shot is way more accurate and more consistent, so I usually use that...

Regular "solid" shot for me, I like actually hitting my enemies.

Only use the explosive shot if I have more than one unit of cannons in my stack, then one uses solid, and the other explosive.

I was actualy suprized, I was playing a test battle with the moors I had 2 Cannon units. With exploding shot they managed to tear some serious holes, there was only one unit to shoot at as well so it was a small target.
